The 3M™ Body Schutz Applicator is built specifically to apply our textured undercoatings and corrosion inhibitors during collision repair. The durable all metal applicator connects easily to a standard air compressor (0.63 cm - 1/4 inch NPT inlet) and accepts 3M™ Rubberized Body Schutz, and 3M™ Rocker Schutz. A smooth trigger action lets you apply coatings in even layers.
With its powerful siphon feed operation, our all metal 3M™ Body Schutz Applicator is built specifically for the higher air pressures required to apply textured, rubberized and non-hardening specialty coatings. Yet its design is relatively simple: it accepts a standard 0.63 cm - ¼” inlet air compressor hose at the handle and features a smooth trigger action for evenly spraying layers of heavy textured coatings. This applicator effortlessly connects to 946 ml (1-qt.) canisters of 3M™ Rubberized Body Schutz, 3M™ Rocker Schutz and 3M™ Rust Fighter-I. These medium coarse to coarse textured specialty coatings protect and enhance body panels, frame rails, rocker panels, undercarriages and more from chips, abrasion, weathering, road noise and corrosion.
3M™ Cavity Wax Plus Applicator Wand Kit 08851 allows body shop technicians to apply 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus in hard-to-reach places such as internal door skins and frame rails. The kit includes 24” and 34” wands with built-in 360-degree spray nozzles, and an 8” wand for flooding seams. Cavity wax is part of the internal corrosion protection recommended by all OEMs during automotive collision repair.

3M™ Body Schutz™ Rubberized Coating works as a protective coating with sound deadening qualities designed for cars, trucks and vans. Our black, rubberized coating bonds to a wide variety of surfaces and is best applied with our 3M™ Body Schutz™ .
3M™ Rubberized Undercoating produces a textured finish which resists chipping, abrasion, exterior rusting and weathering. Provides one-coat build-up with no dripping, running or sagging.
3M™ Rubberized Undercoating helps protect the undercarriage of cars, trucks, vans and recreational vehicles from both corrosion and abrasion. The coating may also be used to protect wheel wells, quarter panels, interior side of fenders, door skins, under side of the hood and trunk lid, floor pans, and more. The rubberized undercoating also helps deaden noise, allowing for a more pleasant and quieter ride. The spray goes on as a textured black finish that resists chipping, abrasion, exterior rusting, and weathering. It provides one-coat build-up with no dripping, running, or sagging. Protecting your vehicle with an application of rubberized undercoating is advised for long-term protection of the undercarriage. Rubberized undercoating creates a protective barrier that seals out grit, grime and moisture that could otherwise corrode the metal components. This extra protection is a low-cost measure that can pay off by potentially extending the service life of a vehicle. Enjoy a More Pleasant Ride: For a quieter ride, rubberized undercoating helps insulate the vehicle cabin from noise, including road, engine, and wind noises. When soundproofing an automobile, consider the most common source of the noise for your situation. Cars of all makes, models and price ranges will benefit from noise reduction soundproofing. An Appealing Appearance: The undercoating goes on with a medium to coarse texture that matches OEM standards. It's easy to achieve a consistent coating appearance that looks professional and meets quality standards. The durability of the coating means it will maintain its protective qualities and visual appeal over time. Exceptional Convenience: The aerosol can offer exceptional convenience for applying the undercoating without any additional investment in equipment.
The 3M™ Silencer Coating is a spray-on shield for your vehicle's exhaust or silencer from the effects of water and time. The spray protects the exhaust pipe from the effects of water and time. It prevents scratches caused by friction with rocks or sharp objects on the road, stops rust and external damage, and provides a long-lasting protective coating. It also protects the pipe from environmental rust-causing factors such as moisture, water, chemicals, and salt vapor.
Use the 3M™ Silencer Coating to protect your vehicle's exhaust from rust, and other environmental factors like moisture, water, chemicals, and salt vapor. Our exhaust spray can help to minimize noise caused by rust, corrosion, and holes and provide smoother exhaust operation.
3M™ Cavity Wax Plus is a non-hardening corrosion protective coating for bare or primed aluminium and steel automotive inner body panels and welded structural components. The material is designed to cover and seal interior joints, hem flanges and compromised e-coats where corrosion can form. Properly applied with the 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus Wand Kit, it remains pliable and will not chip, peel or crack.
Protects Against Corrosion in Internal Automotive Panels
Developed specifically for corrosion protection on internal automotive panels and structural components, our 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus 08852 is formulated to coat and seal areas such as door skins, rocker panels, interior quarter panels and frame rails. It is excellent for use wherever OEM e-coat may be compromised during the repair process, as well as on new replacement parts. It is formulated for use on bare or primed automotive metals including steel and aluminum to protect critical interior joints, hem flanges and repair welds where moisture can form over time. The non-hardening internal corrosion protection material remains soft and pliable and will not crack, chip or peel. Spray-on material applies quickly and easily from an aerosol can, and eliminates the need for bulk spray equipment. Use 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus with our 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus Applicator Wand Kit (PN 08851, sold separately) in hard-to-reach locations.
The Importance of Protecting Inner Cavities
No collision repair shop can match an OEM corrosion protection process (zinc phosphate baths, degreasers, DI water, heat-cured primers and sealers etc.). Also, the repair process itself – grinding, welding, heating or removal of protective coatings – can easily compromise OEM e-coats and create chances for corrosion.
When inner pockets and spaces of a vehicle go unprotected during collision repair, rust and other corrosion can develop and grow unnoticed. Inner cavities are also more likely to trap moisture that can encourage the development of corrosion, which can spread and cause serious damage to the vehicle and possibly the shop’s reputation. With passenger vehicles increasingly staying on the road longer and heavy duty trucks often exceeding 1 million miles, it’s especially important to incorporate effective corrosion protection into your repair process.
3M recommends applying three coats of 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus for adequate internal corrosion protection. In fact, all OEMs recommend the application of internal anti-corrosion material during body repair, which includes cavity wax.
About the 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus Applicator Wand Kit
Designed specifically for use with 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus 08852 aerosol cans, the applicator wand kit is very easy to use and consists of small-diameter wands in 8“, 24” and 34“ lengths. The 8” wand delivers a powerful stream of Cavity Wax Plus to flood and seal joints. The 24“ and 34” wands allow easy access to tight spaces. They feature small integrated spray nozzles that deliver the material in a uniform 360° spray pattern to ensure maximum coverage. The wand kit helps you apply Cavity Wax Plus to all sides of internal rocker panels, dog legs, frame rails and other concealed places, and provides the correct flow and wicking for consistent and uniform protection.
